What is cable Internet?
Cable Internet or Broadband Cable Internet Service enables users` connecting to the internet by means of existing cable (HFC) infrastructure, that is used primarily for TV programmes distribution.

Equipment and Set-up
In order to establish an Internet access via our Cable Distribution System (KDS) it is necessary to install a cable modem, which is easy to connect to the computer via USB, Ethernet or FireWire interface. In this way your phone line becomes disengaged, while reception of TV signals is not disturbed. Thus, it is possible to watch TV programmes and use the cable Internet at the same time.
Cable modem
Cable modem is a device similar to a standard external modem, different in the way that instead of a phone line it is connected to the cable network (coaxial cable), while its function is the same as with the standard modem, ie. modulation and demodulation of a cable signal from the basic bandwidth into an appropriate mode of data transfer through the cable network. A great number of cable modems is possible to connect to a computer via USB or network device (switch or hub), which is registered by computer as a network adapter.
