Instruction for dial-up / e-mail password change
Every user gets the user name and two passwords at registration:
- dal-up password (for Internet access via Medianis),
- e-mail password (for reading and composing e-mail messages).
Medianis allows its users an independent change of their passwords. An occasional change of passwords with non-trivial combination of letters and numbers is recommendable for security reasons.
Dial-up password change:
Registered users can (it is advisable) change periodically their password for Internet access to Medianis (dial-up password). Dial-up password change is done after logging onto the system, in the following way:
- In Member Login form enter your user name and password and click on Login (a new page opens with the selected DIAL-UP button in the upper main menu)
- click on Password change in the upper left sub-menu
- enter the user name, the old password and a new one (the password should contain between 6 and 8 alphanumerical characters, ie. letters or numbers)
NOTE: a new password must be entered twice for security reasons
- click on the Accept button to change the password (a confirmation page opens with the information: "Password for the user x has been changed!")
E-mail password change:
Registrered users can (it is advisable) change periodically their e-mail password. Password change is done after logging onto the system, in the following way:
- log on to the Webmail
- select Settings
- choose the Password option
- on a new page for Password change enter an old and a new e-mail passwords (the password should contain between 6 and 8 alphanumerical characters, ie. letters or numbers)
NOTE: a new password must be entered twice for security reasons
click on the Accept button to change the password.
