Creating connection for Windows 2000

Click on Start Settings Network and Dial-Up Connections

Left-mouse click on Make a new connection
Network Connection Wizard opens where you should do the left-mouse click on Next

In the Network Connection Type window click on Dial up to the Internet and go on Next

In Welcome to the Internet Connection Wizard choose the item 3: I want to set up my Internet Connection manually and click on Next

There appeares a window asking How do you connect? Select I connect through a phone line and a modem and then go on Next

In Step 1 of 3 enter the following data:
Area Code:18
Telephone Number: 500000
Country region: Yugoslavia 18
Click on Next
Note: if you connect to MediaNis from another city in Serbia enter your Area Code without zero while your dial-in phone is: 042 110 010

Step 2 of 3 enter your user name and password. For example:
User: marija
Password: marija12
Click on Next
Connection name: Medianis
Click on Next
Your dial-up connection has been created.

In the following window you will be offered to create a new mail account. Thus, at the question Do you want to set up your mail account choose yes and go on Next

In the E-mail Server Names window choose POP3 server for My incoming mail server. In the Incoming mail i Outgoing mail fields enter mail. medianis .net and click on Next
Account: marija
Password: marija12
Next
Your connection has been created welcome to Medianis!
Modem Set-up
Start - Settings Control Panel Phone and Modem (do a leftmouse click on the icon twice)

A new window appeares where you select Dialing Rules New General
Location Name: Medianis
Country/region: Yugoslavia
Area Code:18
Dial using: o Tone o Pulse
Check the tone box if your phone line is digital. Otherwise, select pulse.
Click on Apply/Ok

Now click on the buttons Modems Properties General Dial Control
Here deactivate the box wait for dial tone before dialing and go on Ok
Note for the users whose phone line is pulse or semi-digital

Activate the buttons Modems Properties Advanced
In the Extra Initialization Settings field enter +MS=V34,0
All necessary settings have been done.
