Creating Connection for Windows XP

Start – Settings – Control Panel :

Network and internet Connections :

Network Connections :

Create a new connection :

A New connection wizard opens where you should click on Next

choose: connect to the internet, click on Next:

choose: set up my connection manually, click on Next:

choose: connect using a dial-up modem, click on Next:

enter ISP name: Medianis, click on Next:

• in the phone number field enter: 500000 or 042110010 (if you connect out from Nis ) , click on Next

choose: my use only, click on Next:

• in the user name field enter your user name
• in the password field enter your password
• in the confirm password field reenter you password and click on Next

tick add a shortcut to this connectionto my desktop and click on finish

Modem Set-up

Start – Settings – Control Panel :

Phone and Modem – Dialing Rules – New:

Country Region: Yugoslavia

Area Code: 381:

To disable call waiting dial:

• choose either pulse or tone depending on whether your phone line is pulse or tone (digital), click on OK

Choose Modems – Properties

Modems

• (here deactivate the wait for dial tone option), click on OK

Click on OK

Again choose Modems – Properties – Advanced:

• Note for the users whose phone line is pulse or semi-digital:
  In the Extra Initialization Settings field enter: +MS=V34,0

Your connection has been created.
